At the core of every growing community there is a vibrant performing arts center that strives to produce work that enriches the lives of families and allows imaginations to run wild. The Center for the Arts at the College of Staten Island is that place, and is proud of its thought-provoking international family presentations. Our CFA Kids Events series furthers the cultural experience for our youngest neighbors and creates a vivid platform for learning.

This season we are thrilled to present three theatrical stagings of beloved children’s books that will awaken curiosity, instill a love of reading, and inspire children to learn more about the world around them. The arts are fundamental to a well-rounded childhood and we like to think of the CFA as the place where our children can learn, build self-confidence, express themselves, and be whoever they choose to be–even if it’s a Hobbit.

CFA Kids Events include fun activities for children before the show along with post-show meet-and-greets with the artists. Please see event descriptions for details.
